There is a version of my work that doesn't end up on social media and doesn't make it into my portfolio.
It's the densest part — made of processes, research, and projects that need more than an image or a few lines to be told. The most interesting part for those who, like me, work in visual communication, or would like to.
Patreon is a platform that allows creators to share content and insights in a flexible and organized way. I chose it as a space to make all of this available, structured across three levels of depth. And since the topics are many, you can enter at whichever level you prefer, stay where it feels closest to your interests, or go deeper whenever you're ready.
So, what can you find on my account?
The subjects I'm most passionate about, the ones that shape the way I think about art and design. Resources, information, and notes on graphic, design, art, and Japan. Reviews and recommendations of books and exhibitions. Moodboards and reflections on the history, meaning, and production of color. Thematic posts on the qualities and performance of different types of paper. Notes on printing techniques, bookbinding, and photography.
Each topic is organized into collections and can be filtered by keywords, so that every post remains accessible and easy to revisit, without losing the thread of a progressive path.

C'è una versione del mio lavoro che non finisce sui social e non entra nel portfolio.
È la parte più densa, fatta di processi, ricerche e progetti che richiedono più di un'immagine o di poche righe per essere raccontati. Quella più interessante per chi, come me, lavora nella comunicazione visiva o vorrebbe farlo.
Patreon è una piattaforma che permette agli autori di condividere contenuti e approfondimenti in modo flessibile e organizzato. L'ho scelta per mettere a disposizione tutto questo, articolato su tre livelli di profondità. E, visto che gli argomenti sono tanti, potete entrare dal livello che preferite, restare in quello che sentite più vicino ai vostri interessi, o andare più a fondo quando vi sentite pronti.

Ink has always been part of my work — from the mark I favor in my illustrations, to past projects, all the way to the name of this first tier. A space conceived as a (almost) daily appointment, like (good) news and coffee in the morning. A way to meet.

L'inchiostro è un elemento che mi accompagna da sempre: dal segno che prediligo nelle illustrazioni ai progetti passati, fino al nome di questo primo livello. Uno spazio che vuol essere un appuntamento (quasi) quotidiano, come (buone) notizie e caffè al mattino. Un modo per incontrarci.
Qui trovi le mie opere, anche quelle non pubblicate altrove. Segnalazioni di mostre, libri ed eventi legati ad arte, grafica, design e un appuntamento particolare interamente dedicato al colore.

TIER III: HON
Every variation, within the same form, is an intervention on perception — of value, use, and meaning.
From this idea comes HON, a publication officially registered with SIAE, which effectively serves as the deposit of a curatorial concept for an exhibition exploring the interaction between minimal form and variation, between contemporary design and Japanese material culture.
This tier begins with that project and gathers not only what the book contains, but everything that made it possible: sources, images, alternative paths, discarded directions, curatorial choices, notes — and then expands to include reviews of books and exhibitions, as well as in-depth explorations of Japanese culture, graphic design, exhibition design, and visual communication.

Da questa frase nasce HON, pubblicazione depositata presso la SIAE, che di fatto è il deposito del concept di una mostra sull'interazione tra forma minima e variazione, tra design contemporaneo e cultura materiale giapponese.
Questo livello parte da questo progetto e raccoglie non solo ciò che il libro contiene, ma anche tutto ciò che è servito per poterlo realizzare: fonti, immagini, percorsi alternativi, direzioni scartate, scelte curatoriali, note, per poi espandersi ad includere recensioni di libri e mostre, approfondimenti su cultura giapponese, progettazione grafica, allestimento e comunicazione visiva.
